She wanted to contest this race, even though she felt she
hadnt trained hard enough. On the morning of the race,
she got up early & had breakfast. Then she mixed her ACT
energy drink & sipped it until about half an hour before
the start of the grueling race. As you would expect, the race
is very demanding, and at some point the mind has to take
over, or you wont make it. |

She finished
the race in good time. She had done this race one other time,
years ago, when she younger and considered herself exceptionally
fit.
Now some years later & not as fit as she would like, she
ran only 1 minute slower than the first time she did this
race, when she was much younger and fitter! Upon completion
of the race, she immediately had another ACT energy drink,
sipping on it all the way on the bus trip back down the mountain.
Her young family almost seemed oblivious to the fact this
mom had just run such a grueling marathon & said, what
are we going to do now mom? The drive home was about
four hours. Everyone in the car fell asleep, except Marion
who was driving. The next day found Marion back at work. She
must be exhausted, right? No! She was feeling really good!
Two days after the marathon, she was talking to the local
gym owner. He said If you ran the Point-to-Pinnacle
this weekend, you wont be running for a week or more
then will you? Marion said, On the contrary, I feel great!
I could easily go out & run today. Marion is a well
known, long distance runner of many years standing &
can read her own body signs. To the serious competitor,
every race is always a personal race as well.
Marion is very pleased with her focus & concentration,
more than satisfied with her personal time & amazed
at her remarkable, rapid recovery time. She expressed her
strong confidence in the ACT energy drink.
